Love Jane Feather!

Bestselling author Jane Feather brings to life the glamour, sophistication, and intrigue of Regency-era London in this captivating novel of unexpected passions and dangerous secrets.

Pooling their meager resources, Lady Cornelia Dagenham, her sister-in-law Aurelia, and their friend Liv Lacey arrive in London's Cavendish Square to spend a month at the home Liv has just inherited. But why anyone would show a fervent interest in purchasing the rundown property -- particularly the arrogant Viscount Bonham, who clearly could afford the finest of homes -- is a puzzle to Cornelia. His charms are undeniable, though -- and Cornelia finds her resistance to this mysterious stranger falling away...as a sparking passion clouds her view.

But their affair may place her and her friends in danger as Harry Bonham sweeps her into the sparkling whirl of high society. Leading a double life as a code breaker for the Crown, Harry is a man of many secrets. Is it Cornelia whom he truly desires, or something hidden in the house on Cavendish Square

Donna Fletcher - A Warrior's Promise

A Warrior's Promise - Donna Fletcher

LOVE Donna Fletcher! Ill forever buy very book she writes :)

Bryce & Charlotte

Love the mischief and madness and mayhem. Love their dynamics, how they sort out problems and handle conflict.

Bryce reminds me of an boyfriend I once had. :/ Imagine that! So I can't give a good character review on him Sorry about that. There are traits he has that are worth mentioning though: Gentle, tough, caring, sweet, brave, courageous, formidable, reliable, fierce, passionate & protective. Wish I never happened upon the connection between his character and my ex, would have loved to get to know Bryce better.

Fearsome Charlotte is one tough cookie! Stubborn, Opinionated, Forever Curious, Chatty, extremely intelligent, Bold, Daring, Obstinate & Witty. Born fighter, Fierce, Loyal, Determined, Courageous Warrior. All in all, a force to be reckoned with!

I love the theme, plot, setting, writing style and Characters of this series. I would have liked to still have an emotional connection with the previous two couples. I feel they were almost avoided in this book. Mara and Carmag also had an evident bypass in this novel. Hope the reason for this becomes clear n the next and last book :( so sad to finish a series!

I am going to keep listing their qualities and they all have the same, but its so rare these days i really need to keep listing them.

Reeve is my favourite brother so far. ;) He is fun, teasing, passionate, friendly, caring, strong, funny, determined and always has a smile on his face - ooh there are so many qualities, I would deffinately chose this brother.

Tara has the strongest will power i have ever seen. Boy i would have folded a long time ago with a guy like that!! Jeepers. One tough cookie. Love her innocence and fun loving nature, the caution had me frustrated at times. :)

I might be wrong but my money is on Duncan being the Rightful King of Scotland, allthough I love love love me some Reeve. :) The Saga Continues

Karen Marie Moning - Spell of the Highlander

Spell of the Highlander - Karen Marie Moning

MY HERO - Karen Marie Moning just gets Highland Romance!! LOVE IT!

She introduced me to Historical Romance and boy am I glad she did.

LOVE Scotland, LOVE the Plot, LOVE the Characters, ALWAYS A MUST READ AUTHOR.

I would recommend reading the Fever Series First, as she describes the Fae really well there, and they carry over to the Highland series. Bear with the Fae, they seem a bit tedious at times, but it will all make sense I promise.

I need to read these books again (I really really dont mind) to give a propper story review, but i cant wait to get stuck in them again.

To be continued . . .

Phililppa Gregory - Wideacre (Book 1)

Wideacre (Wideacre, #1) - Philippa Gregory

Insane! First chapters are a well written but difficult read. I battled to get into the book. I dont know why exactly.

Had to constantly remind myself in what era this was. It was hard and raw and unforgiving and a survival of the fittest era. The past was not always romance and roses and courting and pretty stories. This book is the perfect example.

Did not like Harry or the mom much, but that was the point. You understand the Mom better when Bea says something in the book and you have a ja benefit of the doubt moment. Ralph gave me the creeps and had the fear factor with all the intensity and stuff but that was also the point. Cecilia was like mousey and feeble. Very gullable and naive, the kind of person i just want to shake so they might wake up or something.

Beatrice Lacey i still cant get to the bottom of how i feel about her character. I thought her to be aloof and cold to everyone and everything, except her bond with Wideacre, and her actions unforgivable. But to live in a Male dominant society and the survivial of the fittest being reserved for men, you can actually believe her doing these things to ensure a future for Wideacre land and you find yourself rooting for her, and then she does something again and you're back to not being able to like or forgive her.

BUT With a Wideacre heir like Harry no wonder she went all cray-cray. Still, i dont know what to think about the whole book.

- The easiest way to describe it is like if you are in an ancient cathedral or castle grounds and you can feel the vibes so strongly. Its like hardship and regret and love and nature and energy and sorrow and tears and awe and hard to breathe and triumph and dissappoiontment all at the same time.

I might be able to give a better review once i've read all 3 books.

Starting the second book now and also find the start hard, but Wideacre certainly picked up to the end of the first quarter of the book. . . Lets see!
